Children attend the Children’s House independently from 3 years of age. The children’s learning environment, which includes the adult, is a scientifically prepared environment and is just right for this age group.
The multi-aged grouping allows for greater social cohesion, a respectful community and a richer learning environment. While observing a classroom in operation you may see the older children, who are the leaders and embody the culture of the classroom, providing some assistance to the younger children. The younger children are exposed to more sophisticated work and look forward to working with other materials as they develop their skills.
Each classroom is a community of up to 22 children composed of six distinct but also interconnected learning environments; the classroom, the verandah and the garden.
