Scott Cromwell

Director of Pedagogical Support 

A member of the Brisbane Montessori School community for over twenty-one years, Scott Cromwell is a highly experienced Montessori educator with twenty-eight years of Montessori teaching and leadership expertise spanning three different continents. Currently, the Director of Pedagogical Support, Scott also spends time in the classroom as an Upper Primary Class Director, working with students to accomplish meaningful academic outcomes.  

Husband to a Montessori educational leader, Scott is also a proud father of four Montessori-educated children and hosts the school’s termly ‘Montessori Explained’ sessions that delve into the origins of the Montessori method and how it is implemented into the curriculum.  

Holding multiple Association Montessori International (AMI) and North American Montessori Teachers Association (NAMTA) Montessori diplomas for ages three to fifteen years, Scott most notably founded the primary program at the Canberra Montessori School in 1996. Scott also led the rapidly growing, 500 pupil, Rhein-Main International Montessori School near Frankfurt, Germany in 2006. 

Scott believes that Montessori is about serving the children, helping them to reach their fullest potential and in doing so, helping our communities, cultures and peoples come together in peace.
