Extracurricular Sport
“Tennis, football and the like do not have for their sole purpose the accurate moving of a ball but they challenge us to acquire a new skill - something lacking before - and this feeling of enhancing our abilities is the real source of delight in the game.”
Dr Maria Montessori
Extracurricular sport is an important part of life at Brisbane Montessori School, providing students with opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy being active in a supportive environment.
Throughout the year, students can participate in a variety of after-school sporting activities and events. While we do not participate in inter-school sporting competitions, students have the opportunity to hone their sporting skills through a range of fun, engaging, and interactive after-school sports programs.
These activities focus on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fostering a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
Students can enjoy a diverse range of extracurricular sporting activities, including, but are not limited to:
- Book Club
- French
- Chess
- Coding
- STEM Program
- Ultimate Athletics - Little Athletics
- Magic: The Gathering
- League All Stars - NRL
- Kids Yoga
- REDED - Hip Hop Dance
