0-3 Parent & Child Programs

Our Montessori Parent & Child Program invites you to attend with your child in a calm and carefully prepared environment. Dr Maria Montessori believed education begins at birth, and the years from birth to three are when a child's mind absorbs more of the world than at any other point in life.

Guided by this understanding, our purpose-built 0-3 environment is designed to meet your child at their current developmental stage, giving them the freedom to touch, move, and explore with all their senses. Montessori's core belief was that children are capable of directing their own growth when given the right conditions.

Running during term time on a Thursday, and led by our Director of MITC and experienced Montessori educator, Bec Bridge, the program supports your child's inner drive to move, communicate, and build independence, while giving you insight and understanding to support that development at home.

PARENT & TODDLER PROGRAM | 9.00am - 11.00am
Walking to three years

Now that your child is walking steadily, their hands are free to explore the prepared environment, which will aid the development of functional independence. Carefully prepared practical life activities allow the child to construct themselves while refining movement, developing language, and empowering them to become capable individuals.

PARENT & INFANT PROGRAM | 11.00am - 12.45pm
Birth to 15 months or when walking independently

In the infant program, the child has the freedom to explore the environment with all their senses. Movement to support brain development is a focus alongside language development. The parent or carer is free to observe how their child interacts with the environment whilst learning about the benefits of the Montessori philosophy during this stage through guided and spontaneous discussions.
