Parents & Friends (P&F) Association

The Brisbane Montessori Parents & Friends (P&F) Association wishes to extend to you a very warm welcome. We feel confident that your children will love their time at Brisbane Montessori as much as our children do.

Our aim is to keep BMS community connected and engaged by organising events, fundraisers, and supporting classrooms. We do all these things with a Montessori philosophy in heart.

In more detail, the objectives of the BMS P&F are to:

• Support the School in delivering a leading Montessori education and reflect the aims and principles of the Montessori pedagogy;
• Promote good fellowship between parents, friends, teachers and students alike, for the general wellbeing of the School community;
• Represent the School community on working parties and other groups where a parent presence is requested;
• Foster and provide opportunities for community endeavours, including appropriate fundraising activities, for the furtherance of these objects and the welfare of the School community; 
• Assist and support the School in all its activities; and
• Provide a forum of communication between the members of the School community.

Your first point of contact in your classroom will be your Parent Representative. They are the link between parents, teachers, and the Parents & Friends (P&F) Association. Please ask your Classroom Director for information concerning your respective Parent Representative if you have not already been introduced.

We encourage you to share your gift of time or talent with the Montessori community in a way that best suits you. Opportunities are available during school time and after school hours:

• Making classroom resources
• Baking a cake for a Parents and Friends morning tea or donating funds for resources
• Attending Parents & Friends (P&F) Association events
• Volunteering or contributing to an event
• Assisting the Class Director with reading, gardening etc.
• Contributing in any other way you feel comfortable
