Senior School (Enrol now for 2026)
“The child has other powers than ours, and the creation he achieves is no small one; it is everything.”
Dr Maria Montessori
About the Senior School
We are excited to offer Senior School to our students, beginning with Grade 11 in 2026, and Grade 12 in 2027. Enrolments are open for Year 10 and Year 11 NOW!
Grounded in Montessori principles and informed by contemporary adolescent development, our program fosters independence, self-direction, and holistic growth. We guide students through a balance of academic rigour, practical engagement, and community collaboration to shape them into confident young adults.
Through a blend of intellectual study, hands-on projects, and real-world engagement, students discover their strengths and interests. They are guided to explore subjects they enjoy, make connections between disciplines, and identify pathways that align with their skills and aspirations, whether in university, vocational training, entrepreneurship, or emerging industries and jobs of the future.
Our Vision for Senior School (16-18 years)
At Brisbane Montessori School our Senior School is grounded in the Montessori belief that adolescence is a powerful period of growth, transformation and contribution. We envision a space where young adults:
- Embrace their emerging autonomy through real-world responsibility and independent learning
- Discover purpose by exploring their passions and developing clarity about their place in the world
- Develop confidence and resilience as they tackle challenges both within and beyond the classroom
- Engage meaningfully with society, contributing their talent to community projects, internships and environmental initiatives
- Prepare holistically for the future, guided toward university, vocational pathways or careers aligned with 21st-century innovation and ethical leadership
Our mission is to empower senior students to step into adulthood not as uncertain adolescents but as purposeful, capable, socially conscious individuals, ready to build and lead the future.
