”Children develop their brains as well as their bodies through movement, and in the process of concentration, self-discipline, and perseverance with an active interest, the foundations of character are laid. ” -Maria Montessori

Our campus is buzzing with energy as students rotate through a variety of activity stations, including throwing, track and jumping events, tug-of-war, Indigenous and cooperative games, ball games, balance challenges, yoga and meditation. Throughout the day, students have opportunities to explore a wide range of physical activities, work together, and celebrate each other's achievements.

In Montessori education, movement is much more than physical activity—it is an essential part of learning. As children challenge themselves, collaborate with others and discover what their bodies can do, they develop coordination, concentration, confidence, resilience and respect for themselves and their community. Every activity encourages independence, perseverance and a love of active, joyful learning.

Today is about more than winning games. It's about embracing challenges, celebrating personal growth, encouraging one another, and experiencing the joy of movement together. Whether students are crossing the finish line, cheering on a friend, or trying something new, every moment is an opportunity to learn and grow.

We wish all our students a wonderful Sports Day filled with laughter, perseverance, friendship and plenty of memorable moments. 💚
