Upper Primary Working With Your Child

The Primary Working With Your Child event is a special opportunity for families to step into the classroom and experience a small part of your child’s learning journey alongside them.

During the event, children independently choose the work they wish to demonstrate, which may include familiar materials or activities they feel confident presenting, sometimes in collaboration with classmates. Families are encouraged to respect these choices, observe their child at work, receive a lesson from them, work collaboratively, ask questions, or share a story together.

These events are among the most valuable ways for parents to gain insight into what their child has been doing at school, not just academically but also socially, emotionally, and personally.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the event is the opportunity for the child to become the guide. Children delight in presenting a mathematical challenge, inviting a parent to write an imaginative story, or demonstrating materials they use each day. It is a joyful experience that nurtures confidence, independence, and pride in their learning.
