Our Parent & Child Program is often the first step in a family's Montessori journey here at Brisbane Montessori School, creating a strong foundation of confidence, connection and belonging before children begin in the classroom.
We're always grateful to hear how meaningful this experience has been for our families. Here's a heartfelt review from one of our parents, sharing their experience of the program... over to you Chloe.
The Parent & Child Program (PCP) has been a foundational part of our family's journey into Montessori education. Having attended both the infant and toddler classes with my daughter, I cannot recommend the program (and Bec Bridge) highly enough.
The transition from home to school can be a daunting milestone, but PCP made it incredibly seamless. By the time Ada started at MITC, she already felt a deep sense of safety and familiarity with the environment. Most importantly, she had already formed a bond with Bec.
Knowing that Ada was in the care of someone she genuinely adores made the transition so much easier for both of us. Bec is simply amazing. Her guidance on the Montessori philosophy is invaluable, and she provides wonderful, practical tips that we've been able to implement at home to encourage Ada's independence.
You can see Bec's dedication to Montessori and the children in her care in everything she does. Beyond the educational aspect, the program provided a gentle space for Ada to build her confidence and socialise with a group of children.
We have many years at Montessori ahead of us, with our future children surely attending PCP and MITC, but I already find myself feeling sad at the thought of a time when Bec isn't a regular part of our lives.
It is a sentiment shared by so many other parents in the community. Bec and the program she runs are truly exceptional. For any parent looking for a thoughtful, hands-on introduction to Montessori, PCP is the perfect place to start.
